Product Description
Polyester Fully Drawn Yarn commonly known as Polyester FDY refers to a multi-filament yarn that is fully stretched which can be used to produce high strength fabrics and textiles. We produce both semi-dull FDY and bright FDY. The fabrics and textiles made from bright FDY have a bright luster. As the name suggests FDY does not need to be processed further and therefore can be directly used to make fabrics. FDY is produced in a similar way to Polyester POY however the difference being, FDY is spun at much higher speeds and is coupled with heated drawing at the same time. This allows stabilization through molecular orientation and crystallization. As the process of texturizing is avoided, FDY yields higher contribution as compared to the normal POY. FDY can be knitted or woven individually or with any other filament yarn to get fabrics of different varieties.
