What is nylon filament?
Nylon filament is a fiber made from polyamide as raw material, processed and stretched. Nylon filament is commonly used in the knitting and silk industry, such as weaving various wear-resistant nylon socks such as single stockings and elastic stockings, nylon scarves, mosquito nets, nylon lace, elastic nylon outerwear, various nylon fabrics or interwoven silk products.
The main chains of different nylon macromolecules are connected by carbon and nitrogen atoms, and the focused structure of nylon is closely related to the stretching and heat treatment during the spinning process.
Nylon molecules spun at a general spinning speed are prone to crystallization, which occurs during the spinning process. Nylon 6 also crystallizes during the placement process after spinning.
Due to the inconsistent internal and external temperatures during cooling forming, the outer layer of nylon generally has a higher degree of orientation and lower crystallinity, while the core layer has a higher degree of crystallinity and lower orientation.
Three major performance characteristics and application advantages of Nylon filament
Nylon filament is widely used in textile, plastic, packaging and other fields due to its reliable physical properties and chemical stability.
Nylon filament has excellent physical properties. Its high strength, good wear resistance, strong tensile strength, good corrosion resistance, and other properties make it widely used in various fields. From a functional perspective, nylon filament can not only be used to make various textiles such as stockings, shirts, underwear, socks, sportswear, etc., but also has many uses in the construction and decoration industries, such as making various ropes, cables, cords, carpets, ceilings, and so on.
The chemical properties of nylon filament are stable and reliable. It has excellent resistance to some chemicals, such as acids, alkalis, oils, etc. These characteristics make it widely used in the chemical industry, such as making various seals, pharmaceutical filters, pipelines, fertilizers, medical drugs, and so on.
Nylon filament also has good heat resistance, and it can be used for a long time at high temperatures without damage, which makes it widely used in some special industrial environments. For example, it can be used to make various high-temperature tires, high-temperature transmission belts, wires and cables, and so on.
