Spandex Covered Yarn is made of an Spandex Yarn, which is drawn to the certain times and then covered by another yarn such as Nylon, Polyester, Rayon, Cotton, Acrylic...etc. It draws better properties than Rubber Yarn in intensity, Stress, Hard-wearing, Ageing-resistant on the basis of chemical research. Spandex Covered Yarn applied mainly in socks, swimming suits, jeans, leisure and sports wear, medical bandages and lingerie, stockings, stretch hose, seamless inner wear etc.Spandex Covered Yarn is divide into CCY and ACY as below:
A.Conventional Covered Yarn(CCY)
Wrapping filament yarn (Polyester, Nylon...) or staple yarn (Cotton, Acrylic, Rayon...) around extend Spandex Yarn, and that can be divided into Single Covered Yarn and Double Covering Yarn.
1.SINGLE-COVERED YARN(SCY)
A hardwearing yarn suitable for a wide variety of textile applications.The polyamide used can be parallel, textured, multifilament or microfilament. The greater the number of coils, the better the quality of the yarn.From20/D to 140/D Spandex Yarn, extending the Spandex Yarn as the center core, the wrap one filament/staple in S-Twisted(Anti-clockwise) or Z-Twisted(Clockwise) around extend.
2.DOUBLE-COVERED YARNS(DCY)
Double-covered yarns are created by wrapping two Fulgar polyamide strands around the fibre, one in a clockwise direction and the other in an anticlockwise direction. Parallel or textured polyamide yarns can be used to create the double covering. Double-covered yarn is used for the high-end and top-quality clothing, lingerie and hosiery markets.From 20/D to 2240/D Spandex Yarn, extending the Spandex Yarn as the center core, then wrap two filament/Staple on the lower and upper levels in mutually inverse way(S-Twisted and Z-Twisted) around extend Spandex Yarn outer layer.
B. Air Covered Yarn (ACY)

Air-Jet is a covering by the compressed air, Spandex Intermingles with filament yarn similar to Air Texturing which is the most common product method of Twisting plant.Process where the filaments of yarn intermingle with the elastane core.This process allows higher covering speeds to reduce production costs.
