Product Description

In general, low melting point polyester chip is a special polymer material, with its melting point ranging from 90ºC to 220ºC.

 

It can be applied to manufacture low melting point fiber, synthetic fiber and hot melt adhesive. Its most typical application is to serve as bonding fiber for non-woven fabrics. Downstream end uses cover apparel, bedding materials, shoe uppers, sleeping bags, sofas and sanitary products.

 

Low-melt PET chip is also a key raw material for masterbatch carriers. Specifically, it can be blended with regular polyester chips and colorants in a fixed ratio to make polyester color masterbatch.

 

This product is developed by introducing modified copolymer units into polyester macromolecular chains, with a melting point controlled between 100ºC and 120ºC. Common modifiers adopted in production include phthalic acid, adipic acid and trimethylolpropane.
